Pipedrive has rolled out two major updates to Sequences: automatic email sends and sequences in workflow automations.
Send emails automatically
It is now possible to select between draft email and send immediately when setting up a sequence. Draft mode allows the user to tweak the email before sending it out during a sequence, which is sometimes necessary to make the email more personal or relatable.

Add deals to sequences in workflow automations
You can now build automations where, for example, a new deal in a pipeline stage is instantly added to a sequence that triggers follow-ups, reminders, and emails. Extremely handy when your sales reps add all deals to a sequence anyway to warm them up.

Why does this matter? Because these new updates free up time for actual selling. Less admin tasks, more conversations that move deals forward.
Adding deals to sequences in automations is particularly great for nurturing:
- start a short email campaign sprinkled with follow up tasks to reengage with ghosting prospects
- send a series of reminders to review your proposal, with tasks for the reps to reach out on LinkedIn
- send google review requests or engage in project review once your work is finished
This update is another sign that Pipedrive cares about sales people. Automation that works for humans, not the other way around.
