Change Trigger in Automation

Trigger conditions are finally changeable in pipedrive 🥳🥳🥳

You can now change the event type in the trigger which is huuuuuuge. We’ve been waiting for this update.

What does it mean, you ask?

It means it’s easier to clone and adjust workflows that should trigger on object creation and update.

Here’s an example:

Every time an activity is added with the title “f2w” we want to

• update the title of the activity to “Follow up with {{linked contact name}}”
• update the type to task
• update the due date to in 2 weeks

And we also want to do this when the title of an existing activity is updated, meaning when someone renames an existing activity to f2w, we want to everything the first workflow did. But when the title is changed, not when an activity is created.

Now you can simply clone your workflow that triggers on creation, update the trigger to Activity updated and be done.
