FAQ — Pipedrive integrations, API & automation
When should I use a native Pipedrive integration vs Make or Zapier?
Native integrations are faster to set up, more stable and cheaper to run — use them when they exist and cover your needs. Make or Zapier make sense when you need conditional logic, multi-step flows, data transformation, or when the target tool has no native Pipedrive connector. We recommend the right method per integration during scoping.
Can you integrate Pipedrive with a custom internal system?
Yes. Pipedrive has a well-documented REST API and webhook system. If your internal system has an API (or can send/receive webhooks), we can build a direct integration. We've connected Pipedrive with custom ERPs, booking systems, membership portals and proprietary databases.
Are integrations included in a Pipedrive implementation project?
Basic integrations (email sync, calendar) are included in standard implementation projects. More complex integrations — Make scenarios, API connections, accounting sync — are scoped and priced separately depending on complexity.
Will we be able to maintain the integration ourselves after handover?
Yes — that's a requirement for every integration we build. We document what the integration does, what triggers it, and how to modify common scenarios. For Make or Zapier flows, we walk through the scenario in a handover call. We don't build black boxes.
