hiyer

hiyer is a German network for Personalberatungen, connecting companies with executive-search recruiters so specialist mandates get filled faster. Metawork chose the sales stack for the launch and built it with the founder in working sessions over Zoom. Company runs on Pipedrive, Apollo and Lemlist as one system and operates it without an agency.

  1. 01

    Stack selection

Pipedrive over HubSpot, argued from base-plan webhooks and predictable pricing for a small startup

  2. 02

    Pipedrive foundation

    Full tailored setup and customization

  3. 03

    Meeting scheduler

A Pipedrive booking link replacing Calendly, with duration, availability, buffers and the activity type set for clean reporting

  4. 04

    Apollo integration

Field mappings, LinkedIn and the AI-enrichment fields, initial list of ~4,500 contacts pushed into the CRM

  5. 05

    Outreach workflow

A saved search fills a buffer list with enriched leads, a human review moves them to a clean list, and that triggers the specialist or generalist sequence in Apollo

  6. 06

    Lemlist & LinkedIn

Driven by a LinkedIn URL field and an outreach label; removing the label pauses the campaign, so the kill switch lives in the CRM

  7. 07

    Lead handoff

Engagement labels the contact: a hot lead becomes a task for personal follow-up, a cold one goes to the Lemlist campaign

  8. 08

    Training

Working sessions over Zoom plus recorded walkthroughs, so each build step was also a training step

Tim Freystedt was building hiyer, a cooperation network for recruitment consultancies in executive search, and wanted the sales stack in place before launch rather than after it. The brief was deliberately small: pick the tools, build them into one system, and train the founder to run it, instead of leaving an agency dependency behind.

The recommendation was Pipedrive rather than HubSpot: lower cost, long-term perfect for the job. Pipedrive includes webhooks on its base plan, which is what makes real-time Make automation affordable for a startup, whereas HubSpot charges 600€/mo for the same feature. Apollo supplies and enriches the lead data, Lemlist runs LinkedIn, and Pipedrive sits in the middle as the single source of truth that stops the two channels working the same person twice.
